Mmm Mmm Matcha, I have really been loving my Morning Matcha Lattes because of how good it tastes as well as all the health benefits. Did you know that matcha is a type of green tea? It is recommend that we drink about 5-6 cups of green tea a day. Matcha is a stronger and more potent green tea making it simpler to enjoy all the benefits with just one cup daily. Drinking matcha daily has many benefits including:

 ·      It is one of the most powerful interventions for cancer especially neck and head cancers.

·      By drinking green tea daily you lower your chances of breast cancer by about 25%.

·      Aids in weight loss by working with your digestive system and breaking down your food properly and efficiently

·      High in antioxidants that reduces inflammation healing your gut while modulating your immune system

·      Boosts brain function by providing energy, clarity and focus (L-theanine)

·      Contributes to vibrant healthy skin

·      Contains prebiotics that support a healthy gut

The list goes on but if you find yourself drinking coffee daily, matcha is a much healthier alternative for you. Matcha does have caffeine in it as well but is does not dehydrate the body like coffee does. For every cup of coffee that you drink you need to drink 2 cups of water.

I recommend using Pique Tea when your shopping for matcha because of the quality of their teas. This brand quadruple screens their teas for toxins by the batch to be free of pesticides, herbicides, fluoride, heavy metals, toxic mold & radioactive isotopes.⁣

Now that you understand the benefits of adding matcha into your routine lets get into this delicious recipe . . . .

Matcha Latte

·      1 cup of Almond Milk

Directions:

1. Heat up one cup of water on the stove, but do not allow it to boil because that will denature your matcha as well as your honey.

2. Pour hot water into your blender

3. Add Sea Salt, Liquid Stevia, Matcha Powder and Honey to the Blender

4. Blend ingredients for 1 minute

5. Heat up almond milk on the stove

6. Add Almond milk to mixed matcha

You can also make this an iced drink if you prefer that, I prefer to drink it warm because of the benefits on my digestion after eating breakfast.
